Recently I was half listening to a CD in the car. The theme or refrain of the song was "I knew what I was getting" when I called your name, when I loved you. . . . I began reflecting on how I knew what I was signing up for when I decided to follow Jesus. And I continue to follow Jesus even though I know it is no guarantee of an easy life. The thoughts flowed from the difficulties I've been having in setting up this prayer ministry - which is something I really think God has called me to do.
After a while, I tuned back in to the message of the song. Seems I had misinterpreted it. The song was from God's perspective, saying, "I knew what I was getting when I called your name." "I knew what I was getting and I still love you."
Same words, different perspective, much more positive message.
I started this website and blog on May 1, 2012. I am a Catholic who has been in ministry for many years. I first developed what I would call a close relationship with Jesus in the early 1970s. Ever since then I have been praying with people for healing and other needs. It is because I have seen so many of these prayers answered that I am so bold as to offer to pray for you individually through this website and phone line.
